Juniors Match – Round 1
Matthew wins round 1 with 19lb 5oz
Bit of a low turnout on the first junior match this year with only 2 competitors. However both Matthew and Mason caught some fish and the sun shone making it very pleasant to be beside the Lake.
Matthew came out the winner in this the first of 2 matches for the Junior Cup, catching 19lb 5oz from peg3 while Mason had 9lb from peg 5 and he tells me his Dad is going to get him some maggots for the next match!!!!! ( Come on Neil, get it sorted)
Both boys got goodie bags of bait and tackle on this round with the main prizes to be awarded after the next match – winner decided on total weight over the 2 rounds.
So, all you members, if you have a budding angler in your family why not bring them along on the next juniors match on Saturday the 2nd August 2025 – 9am draw fish 10am until 1pm. We will be pleased to see you and advice and guidance is available if requested.
