Matthew Warman ran out the winner this week with 18lb 2oz of mixed silver fish with some good skimmers and roach on pole and maggot from peg 25.
Meanwhile on peg 29, Jacob Woolston was catching on a method feeder down the edge and ended up with 13lb 15oz for 2nd place.
Last years overall winner, Finley Blackwell, was on peg 28 and also feeder fished to catch 10lb 7oz for third and Anna Warman was on peg 27 and had 7lb 4oz for 4th but was unlucky to lose a big carp in the last hour of the match on her pole and maggot tactics.
With a great array of prizes on offer this year thanks to donations from Wroxham Angling & Chunky’s Pets, Wensum Valley Angling, and various club memebers including Billy Watson and Ivan Allen, everyone had a goodie bag plus there was a rod for 1st place and a reel for 2nd.
Overall winner of the 2 match series (decided on total weight) will win a brand new Browening Margin Pole with 2 elasticated top two sections all ready to go. The next Juniors match is on Saturday 3rd August 2024 at the Lake draw 9am fish 10am till 1pm – so come on all you junior members – get your….. Dad/ Grandad/Mum/ Grandma/whoever you can get….. to bring you along and have a go. You might just win or at worst you will have gone fishing for a few hours!!
