Winter League Week 8
A grey cold morning with the promise of a cold south easterly breeze welcomed the twelve who turned up to fish this week, with the prospect of another hard match with bites at a premium.
Chris Isbell drew peg 30 and ran out an easy winner with 2 carp on feeder on a pink wafter plus a few skimmers and roach on the pole for a winning weight of 21lb 2oz.
Dave Jones was on peg 24 and caught 3 carp for 12lb 11oz and 2nd place.
Chris Tims was on peg 3 where he had 10lb 11oz of skimmers and roach – just beating Simon Harrold on peg 1 by 1oz – for 3rd place.
The next match is on 2nd March 2025 and is the last of the Winter League series with the table finely poised it will be down to the wire as usual.
Also I have been asked to remind people that any club trophies need to be returned by this match (or before) if you haven’t already done so.
