Winter League Week 2
After all this weeks rain it was a pleasant surprise to have a dry day for the match even though the north easterly breeze had caused a marked drop in temperaure.
10 members turned out to fish and with the draw done it was down to business.
Chumba drew 31 (does he ever get a bad draw?) and found the silvers yet again plus a couple of carp – all on maggot and mostly past his bait – to put 33lb 4oz on the scales and enough for 1st place this week.
Dave Jones was on 29 and had 29lb 4oz but several lost carp cost him, and he had to settle for 2nd.
Chris Tims was on peg 27 and struggled until the last hour when suddenly the carp arrived and he caught 2 and lost 1 to boost his weight to 16lb 5oz and enough for 3rd on the day.

The next match is the start of the 3 match silvers only series and is 3 weeks away on the 7th December 2025 ……………..See you there…………
