Winter League – Week 2
There was a chill in the air even though the sun was shining and there was another good turnout with 15 fishing the match this week. The change in the weather had definately affected the fishing and many found it quite slow going.
Chris Isbel was on peg 12 and had very little after 2 hours but then from nowhere the carp arrived and he caught steadily for the next 3 hours running out the winner with 56lb 10oz all on maggot over caster and micros.
Chris Winterbone on peg 14 came in 2nd with 43lb 2oz and Colin Beales on peg 21 had 37lb 2oz for 3rd.

So it is all change in the Winter League Table after this week. Remember the next 3 matches are “silvers only” ( no – I’m not talking about hair colour!) Time to get out the light elastic and finesse rigs and then be seen off by every carp in the lake……Let’s hope the weather is kind and the skimmers decide to feed………See you there…………
