Roy Turton Memorial 2+2 match
This weeks match was the “2+2” match where everyone is limited to only using a maximum of the top four sections of their pole. No feeders no wagglers just short range pole fishing .
The format seems quite popular as 13 turned up to fish and with the draw done the fishing started.
Chris Tims was on peg 21 this week and had a great day catching carp on paste, ending up with 13 carp and a few skinmmers for 91lb exactly and 1st place
Ivan Allen was on peg 11 and had a good day with plenty of carp in the margins weighing 60lb 6oz for 2nd
Bob Isbell was on peg 27 and had a frustrating day trashing several rigs after being dragged into the roots and snags of the undercut banks while fishing the margins. Despite these trials he put 52lb 9oz on the scales for 3rd place
Sections went to Colin Beales and Martin Meek and Kevin Blake who won the coin toss for his section of DNWs
Next weeks match is a slightly longer match than normal with an earlier Draw at 8.30 then fishing 9.30am to 5.30pm with a mid match weigh-in…………….might see you there……..
