Pairs Match / Winter League Wk 6
Considering the results of the last match, this Sunday’s turnout was very good with a field of 11. Conditions were quite a bit warmer too and with light winds forecast everyone was quite optimistic.
The draw for pegs and pairs was done and battle commenced………
Bob Isbell had a carp 2nd put in on peg3 which boded well, but it was Chris Isbell at the other end of the lake, on the “end peg” 24 who had 3 carp plus silvers for 26lb 11oz and 1st place this week.
Mark Seaman had carp and skimmers off his “end peg” 4, taking 2nd spot this week with 17lb 15oz followed by Ian Jones on peg 2 who had a silvers net of 10lb 5oz for 3rd place.
Sections went to Bob Isbell and Phil Pipe.
The pairs trophy was won by Chris Isbell and Chris Tims with a combined weight of 32lb 11oz (actually Chris Isbell would have won it on his own – I could have gone home)
Still things can only keep improving (hopefully,) next match is on SUNDAY 1st February 2026 see you there………………………
