Pairs Match plus Winter League wk 5
Mild conditions and light winds greeted the 14 competitors at the draw and the match was fished in almost spring like conditions.
Simon Harrold had a good Sunday, winning his second match on the bounce.
He drew peg 21, which was the snowball peg this week, and proceeded to paralyse the match, catching a succession of skimmers and roach plus a bonus 8lb 14oz carp to win with 21lb 4oz.
Michael Tims on peg 11, came in second with over 50 silver fish and 1 carp for 16lb 1oz and Bob Isbell came in 3rd from peg 17, with a late run of big skimmers giving him 12lb 10oz.
This was also the pairs match and top pair were Simon Harrold and Billy Watson with a combined weight of 27lb 1oz
