Winter League Week 3
Another great turnout, with a field of 16 ready to do battle despite the weather forecast – which turned out to be accurate for once. We managed to draw and get set up and to pack up in the dry but the 5 hours in between were WET or VERY WET.
The fish didnt seem to mind the weather too much particularly on peg 27 where James Page was busy rotating his lines and he manged to keep the fish coming through the match to put a winning weight of 29lb 5oz on the scales.
Ian Jones was on peg 15 and had roach and skimmers to come in 2nd this week with 26lb 12oz and Colin Beales on peg 1 had 21lb 15oz for 3rd place (and a £1 coin off Mr Seaman). From my position on peg 31 I could see both Colin and Ian – nothing worse than being distracted by seeing landing nets going in and out every few minutes and knowing you are getting battered!
Sections went to Mark Seaman, Dave Jones, Martin Meek and Chris Tims.
Next match is 15th December 2024 and is the Christmas Match so remember to bring a prize for the table (bottle, biscuits, beer, chocolates, Daiwa Airity all accepetable) hopefully it will be a little drier………….See you there………..
