11 members arrived to fish this weeks match and there was much pre draw talk of how the weather might affect the fishing and how the lake might be a bit moody BUT it wasn’t!!!
Apart from the large piece of tree landing on Billy’s pole section and shattering it, which obviously was a pain for him and restricted his fishing somewhat, the lake fished extreemly well with good weights all round.
Chris Tims (not him again!) had a great day on peg 27 catching over 40lb of silvers to go with his 9 carp for total of 93lb 9oz and first place.
Phil Pipe on peg 14 had a good day and came in 2nd with 65lb 11oz closely followed by Bob Isbell on peg 19 who had 60lb 10oz for 3rds
Sections went to Ivan Allen and Martin Meek

Spare a thought for Simon Harrold who had too many carp in his net and went over the net limit with 57lb and got disqualified – would have been 2nd…… moral of the tale is carry 3 nets (at least) with the size of the fish in the lake on days like this it is so easy to get it wrong.
Next match is at Toad Hall on 28th July 2024 – if you want to fish put a comment on this facebook post or contact Dan Warman or Billy Watson – plenty of space at the moment……
