Winter League Week 7
A crisp cold winters day greeted the 12 anglers fishing this weeks match at the Lake, with a heavy frost and “cat ice” covering much of the surface it was predicted to be a hard day.
Chris Tims had the short walk to peg 31 and put together a net of big skimmers and roach plus a last-gasp carp on the whistle for a weight of 23lb 5oz and 1st place.
Martin Meek was on peg 27 and had a large carp which gave him a few anxious moments before he netted it. He weighed in a total of 15lb 15oz for 2nd and the pleasure of winning his £1 side bet off Mark Seaman who had 15lb 2oz for 3rd place on peg 25.

The winter league table positions change yet again with this result and with 2 matches to go it looks like a close finish is on the cards yet again.
