Winter League – Week1
A very pleasant autumn day and a field of 14 anglers was a good start to the winter matches at the Club Lake. With warm conditions and very light winds the lake fished well with everybody recording double figures – even Billy who has DNW on the sheet but had a double figure carp first put- in!
Chris Tims drew peg 25 and although he had a bit of a slow start he ended up with 14 carp 1 skimmer and 2 roach for a winning total of 78lb 1oz.
Next door on peg 27 James Page put together 52lb 9oz of carp skimmers and chub for 2nd and down on peg 1 Mark Seaman had skimmers plus 3 carp for 49lb 6oz for 3rd.

Thanks go to Martin Meek who is running the winter league again this year which will run over the 9 winter matches on the lake and will no doubt end up with a tight finish as in the past years but you’ve got to be in it to win it as they say.
