Evening Series Week 5
So, with summer finally arrived and warm sunny conditions the stage was set for the last match in this years Evening Series. Numbers were a bit low this week with only 7 members venturing out but with the draw done it was on with the match.
Mark Seaman was on Peg 24 and apparently only had one roach at 7pm but fortunately, as luck would have it etc etc, some carp came out to play down the edge and he finished up with another winning weight of 42lb 12oz. You just can’t stop Mr Seaman at the moment.
League leader, Chris Tims, was on peg 1 this week and things were not going that well here either but he eventually scraped together 27lb 5oz for 2nd place and that was enough to retain his 1st Place and win the Series.
Section prize went to Simon Harrold who would have been 2nd but one of his carp jumped out of his keepnet this week !!! (I’m not making this up – honest)
